The Nebraska Department of Labor released unemployment figures for the week ending April 10th.
There were a total of 1,926 new regular claims filed for the week, a 69 person drop from the week ending April 3rd. There were 14 new Pandemic unemployment Assistance claims filed for the week compared to 250 filed last week.
There was a significant drop in continued regular unemployment claims with 9,408 filed for the week ending April 3rd. There were 11, 287 filed last week. Continued pandemic claims filed were also down from 2,837 on April 10th compared to 3,058 on April 3rd.
Nebraska paid out $8,7 million in total payments last week. That is more than $1 million less from the week before.
