Hey this is kinda cool. Especially if you are a PRINCE fan. The Prince Estate has plans to release the album, “WELCOME 2 AMERICA” later this summer. They have already released the title track, which is kind of weird….it’s Prince giving a spoken word critique of celebrities, culture, and social media.
WELCOME 2 AMERICA was recorded over a decade ago and features 11 previously unrelease original songs and a cover of SOUL ASYLUM’S “Stand Up And B Strong.” Again the album is set to be released by the Prince estate on July 30th.
Prince died on April 21, 2016….coming up on 5 years. I mentioned this earlier in a blog, but the folks at his studio and home, PAISLEY PARK in Minneapolis are celebrating his life with a special FREE event on April 21 this year. Starting at 9am, fans can see Prince’s ashes on display and celebrate his life. Paisley Park officials say fans can feel free to bring photos, flowers and other mementos and leave them outside in front of the studios. While this event is FREE, they would like you to order tickets in advance at EVENTBRITE.COM.
