Lincoln Police stopped a vehicle on January 11th around 7 p.m. for no plates at 14th and B Street.  The driver, 37 year old Risa VanMeter was not able to provide a drivers license or paperwork for a vehicle.  Police say she was acting nervous and the office questioned her about her behavior.  She denied of being in possession of anything illegal and she allowed the officer to search the vehicle.

Officers first noticed there was a strong odor of marijuana coming from the 2005 Buick sedan.  Inside a purse they found 30.8 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 4 Morphine Sulfate pills, 7 Alprazolam pills, and 10 Dextroamphetamine pills. The pills are controlled substances that were not prescribed to VanMeter.  Inside a purse was $480 in cash, a scale, empty plastic bags, a pipe and 11.8 grams of marijuana.

VanMeter was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Money while Violating a Drug Law, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
