You might not need to go to a gym to lose weight for your New Year’s resolution. Just drink some coffee. A study says that dark roast will do just that. They compared groups of dark roast versus light bean drinkers and how much weight was lost for each. Dark roasters, which would be a cool band name, lost more body weight. Dark roast bean apparently have some kind of special ions in them that help lose weight. Dark roast also has a lot of Vitamin B5 which helps convert food into energy. Light roast doesn’t because the ions are created during the roasting process. Light coffee does have its advantages though with higher concentrations of antioxidants. The study did not compare coffee drinkers to non- coffee drinkers.
