Two Men Face Drug Charges After Marijuana, Cocaine And Meth Found During Traffic Stop

Lincoln Police stopped a  2007 Chrysler Town and Country just after midnight Thursday after observing an improper turn at 18th and A Street.  When officers contacted the driver, a strong odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle.  The officers asked the two occupants to exit the vehicle so a search could be completed.

The driver, Robert Harms, 47 years old, was found to have a container with what was believed to be THC wax residue on his person.  The passenger, Austin Proctor, 19 years old, had a pill bottle and a bag with 2.6 grams of marijuana on his person.  Upon finding these items, Proctor decided to run from officers in an attempt to get away.  After a foot chase, officers located Proctor hiding in the bushes of a residence in the 1900 block of B Street.  As officers attempted to place Proctor into custody he resisted being arrested, however, was taken into custody without further incident.

Inside the pill bottle on Proctor’s person, officers found 2.6 grams of cocaine and suspected LSD tab which will need further testing at the state lab.  Inside the vehicle, was a container with a pipe and baggie with methamphetamine residue, and a bag with 2.7 grams of marijuana was located.

Harms was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Proctor was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Obstructing a Peace Officer.
