Last night I talked about how I walked into a store and realized I forgot my mask. I didn’t have time to talk about an experience involving masks from last weekend. I saw a gal in a store who wasn’t wearing her mask. She never left and came back with one on. She simply hurried through the store without. My first reaction was like a lot of people, “Dirty rotten… needs to put on her mask… hrmpff!” But I’m a people watcher and pretty good at summing up situations. I realized that she looked embarrassed and even slightly scared. Not judging, but she seemed to be on the lower income end. It got me wondering if she didn’t have a mask to wear…… but still needed necessities for her family. Anyway, it got me to thinking that from now on, I’m going to carry an extra, never used mask in my coat pocket in a plastic bag. And I’ll offer it to anyone that I think needs and wants to wear a mask.
