By News Jul 13, 2020 | 11:42 AM

A 21-year-old Lincoln man is accused of assaulting two people with a knife Saturday, July 11th around 3:30 p.m.

Lincoln Police were called to 40th and Colfax Avenue after receiving a report of a stabbing.  They found a 40-year-old man, witnesses, and a man identified as Keagen Webber.  Officers learned that the victim and a friend had placed Webber’s girlfriend into a vehicle and were trying to drive her to a safe location as they believed she had been assaulted by Webber. The woman did not want to go with them and Webber found them on Colfax Avenue.

Webber is accused of assaulting the man with a knife causing a number of non-life-threatening cuts on his back and neck. A 37-year-old man was also attacked and suffered a minor cut on his right side.

Webber was booked on two counts of 2nd-degree assault and for use of a weapon to commit a felony.

Police are still trying to determine if Webber’s girlfriend was kidnapped and if probable cause exists to make an arrest.
