Comedy Legend Carl Reiner has died

By News Jun 30, 2020 | 2:28 PM

The great comedy legend Carl Reiner passed away last night at the age of 98. He created the Dick Van Dyke Show. He earned a Grammy nomination for “The 2000 Year Old Man” album with Mel Brooks. He directed classic movies like “The Jerk” and “Oh God”. The legend was a producer, director and actor, not to mention the father of another Hollywood mainstay, Rob Reiner. At 98 he was more active on Twitter than I am, even tweeting just yesterday afternoon. I’ve always been a big fan of comedy legends like him, Mel Brooks, Carol Burnett, Tim Conway, and Garry Marshall. They’ve all published biographies that are amazing, including Carl Reiner’s 2012 book “I Remember Me.” His biography is at the top of my favorites list next to Tim Conway’s. He made it all the way to 98, which is pretty amazing when you think about it. All I know, is we need to protect Betty White at all costs.
