A Nebraska state trooper and civilian are transported to the hospital after a collision on O St.
Lincoln Police officer Erin Spilker reports officers and LFR crews were sent to the intersection of O and 46th St. around 1130 am Wednesday after receiving reports of a two-vehicle collision.
Officers were notified that a Nebraska State Patrol cruiser was involved in the crash.
An investigation indicated that a white Honda Fit was eastbound on O Street and the cruiser was westbound.
When the Honda Fit turned northbound onto N 46th Street, it collided with the cruiser.
The driver of the Honda Fit was transported to a local area hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
The Trooper sustained an injury to his arm/hand and was transported by another Trooper to a local area hospital for treatment.
An investigation is ongoing.
