Survivor Going Viral For Finale

By News Apr 14, 2020 | 11:15 AM

The current season of SURVIVOR on CBS-TV is going to wrap up, as usual, with a live show including the reunion of all 20 contestants of WINNERS AT WAR.  But, producer and host, JEFF PROBST says during this coronavirus epedemic, this year’s finale will NOT be live in front of a studio audience, and with social distancing still in place, their will NOT be a live reunion of all the contestants.

This year Jeff will speak with all 20 of the season’s contestants via video chat as part of the finale, covering highlights of the season.  Producers and staff are still working out how those conversations will be incorporated into the finale, which is scheduled for May 13th.  Probst also said that the week before, on May 6th, the show will be 2 hours rather than the customary one hour.  The winner of  “SURVIVOR; WINNERS AT WAR” will take home the biggest cash prize in reality show history…..$2 million!!  Can’t wait to see how it all plays out.

Similarly, AMERICAN IDOL will be changing up the way they also finish up the season. KATY PERRY said Sunday in a facebook live session, that they are working on some creative solutions.  “I know that we’re foing to be really creative an you’ll just have to be tuning in to that creativity that we are probably going to create from our individual homes.”  Right now no date for that AMERICAN IDOL finale has been decided.
