Lincoln Adds More COVID-19 Cases And A Significant Jump in Larceny

Larceny from autos increased 99 percent in Lincoln since the pandemic started.

The data reflects a significant jump compared to a five year trend.

“I want to empower everyone withing the community,” Jeff Bliemeister, Lincoln’s police chief said at the daily news update. “There is things we can do about this.  Many of us are spending a lot of time at home.”

He says remove all valuables, lock your cars and garages.  Police collected the data from February 17 to March 29.

This came after more COVID-19 cases were found in the area.

Lincoln adds three more bringing our total to 34 cases.

18 are travel related, 13 are community spread with three continuing to be investigated. Today’s diagnoses are two men in their 40s and one man in his 50s.
