Gina Sherwood Klein

Gina Sherwood Klein joined the B107.3 Morning Show in February of 2003. With absolutely no experience under her belt this Lincoln native dug her heals in and knew she had a big task ahead of her. Ten years later she is still waking up early to do the morning show and loves every minute of it.

Gina is married and has two stepchildren and two step grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, cooking, shopping, traveling and spending time with family and friends. She is a big fan of American Idol, Celebrity Apprentice, Ellen, Glee and Grey’s Anatomy. She never misses an awards show and loves the pomp and circumstance of the red carpet!

Gina is a graduate of both Lincoln Southeast High School and the University of Nebraska. Since she never pursued a career in her major (Recreation Management) she decided to give radio a try. She won an hour on the radio at a high school booster club auction and got her face and voice in front of the management team at Broadcast House.

Gina is a civic volunteer. She has had the opportunity to be involved in many organizations within the community -- The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, The Make A Wish Foundation, The American Cancer Society, Special Olympics, The Friendship Home, Heartland Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Tour De Lincoln, YWCA Star Art project, Lincoln Children’s Museum, the City’s Fourth of July celebration.
Gina has been an Updowntowner (now Go Lincoln Go) since 1989. During her tenure, she chaired many committees and served on the Board of Directors. She is a past chair of the Star City Holiday Parade and has worked with the 10/11 production team to add “color” commentary” to the parade’s television broadcast.
