Have you ever found a critter in your pre-packaged salad? If so, you’re not alone. According to a study 3.8 incidents have been reported since 2008 and there were five in 2013. (Any current data?)
The study found that people are finding lizards, frogs, snakes, bats, mice and birds in their salads and sometimes they’re still alive. The study says the statistics are actually higher, but people don’t report it. The states that reports the most cases of animals in their pre-packaged salad are Texas and Florida. I found a fly one time in my salad at a local restaurant. When I mentioned it to my server, they apologized, took the plate and brought me a new salad. Has this ever happened to you?
