Joe and I had a discussion this morning on the show about whether going swimming counts as a shower. I said no way. You’re not washing your hair or body with shampoo or soap. Plus, you have no idea what bacterial things have been in the water (ie pee, poo). Joe mentioned that he always showers after swimming. What about all the chlorine? What if you are swimming in a lake or the ocean? Surely, you’d shower right? According to a survey, 51% of Americans said they use swimming as an alternative to bathing. Swimming instead of an actual bath does have a name, it’s called Summer Bath. Then we had a listener call who’s worked around swimming pools and she said, the stronger smell of the chlorine, the more pee in the pool. What do you say?
