Human Trafficking Sting Operation Leads to Several Arrests And the Discovery of Numerous Female Victims

A human trafficking sting operation leads to several arrests and the discovery of numerous Lincoln woman used in the operation.

Officer Angela Sands says that they expect more arrests and believe many more female victims are out there and hope they come forward to police.

Officer Sands says police were tipped off to the operation by a Crimestoppers tip and then followed through by responding to an online advertisement February 7th.

Police have so far arrested 40-year old Hersel Bradley, 52 year-old Kurt Mortensen for pandering and 40-year old Jason K. Albers for solicitation of prostitution. Albers is the co-owner of a club volley ball organization called Nebraska One.

Officer Sands says the Lincoln Police Department’s proactive efforts led to the identification of numerous women believed to be victims of human trafficking and and addressed an underreported crime in Lincoln. Sands says that they are continuing to search for and identify the victims associated with this group of traffickers.

Officer Sands says their focus is to provide hope to those whose lives have been controlled by sex traffickers, work with community advocates to ensure they have a safe pathway forward and disrupt criminal enterprise that profits from the abuse of vulnerable members of our city.
